What's the difference between a regular teeth cleaning and a deep cleaning?A regular cleaning is designed for the maintenance of healthy gums. When a person brushes and flosses daily and gets their teeth cleaned on a regular basis, the bacteria and tartar build-up are minimal. When a person has not had their teeth professionally cleaned for a long period of time or when the person does not brush and floss on a regular basis that may require a deep cleaning. Usually when there is a large amount of tartar and bacteria under the gums. Dr.Brian Y. Kuo will determine which cleaning is right for you.

How often should I go see a dentist?Everyone is different and some see the dentist more often than others. If you haven't gone to get a check up in years we recommend you come to our office to make sure there is no damage in your smile big or small. Sometimes you might not feel pain and feel your teeth are just fine. However, if you want to have a nice and healthy smile it's always a great idea to visit the dentist every 6 months. There's times where you might be developing a cavity or gingivitis and may not notice. If you visit the dentist early, you might prevent major pain, impact and save money and time in the long run.
